“If the life of Christ isn’t in it, it’s not the Church.”
— Chris Berglund
This line from Sunday’s message has been echoing through us all week. And maybe you’ve felt it too—that gnawing hunger for something more than Christian programming… something more than the Sunday cycle.
We’re not trying to build a meeting.
We’re asking to become a body.
And that’s a totally different thing.
If you’ve been wrestling with what church even means anymore—
If you’ve felt the ache of disconnection, religious fatigue, or that nudge in your spirit that says there must be more—
This post is for you.
Israel, My Son — A Thread Through the Whole Story
When God told Moses in Exodus 4:22,
“Israel is my son, my firstborn,”
He wasn’t being poetic. He was revealing a blueprint—a prophetic pattern that points forward to the corporate Son, the Church, filled with Christ’s life.
It’s all there:
Jacob, wrestling with God, renamed after limping through transformation.
Joseph, betrayed, buried, and resurrected to feed a people.
Israel, walking through the blood of the lamb into new identity and deliverance.
These aren’t just Bible stories.
They’re spiritual blueprints.
They tell the truth about who Jesus is—and who we are becoming.
Jesus Didn't Just Die for You—He Died to Raise You
John 12:24
“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces much fruit.”
That single grain—Christ—went into the ground.
What came out wasn’t just resurrection.
What came out was a body, a new race, a corporate people who carry His DNA.
We don’t gather to imitate Him.
We gather because we’ve been included in Him.
And that changes everything.
The Church isn’t something we attend.
It’s something we become—together.
What Are We Even Doing?
Let’s be honest.
There’s a whole lot of activity in the American church that looks impressive… but has no life in it.
We can build platforms, run programs, even serve faithfully—
and still be completely disconnected from the indwelling life of Christ.
Chris said it simply:
“If His life isn’t in it, it’s not part of His Church.”
That’s not condemnation.
That’s liberation.
It means we don’t have to prop up dead things.
We don’t have to pretend.
We don’t have to wear forms of godliness that deny the power.
We can become a people who are animated by His life alone.
This Is What We're After
We’re not trying to restore “normal church.”
We’re asking for resurrection life.
We want what Psalm 133 describes:
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity… for there the Lord commands the blessing, life forevermore.”
That’s the Church Jesus died to raise.
That’s what we’re seeing take root in Colorado Springs.
That’s what Company 318 is being built around—a national communion of people hungry for life and more life.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
Where is Christ bringing me back to life?
What part of His life in me is meant to be expressed in the body?
Am I participating in a meeting… or becoming part of His Body?

You’re not here by accident.
You’re likely one of those who’s felt the tremble beneath the surface—the shift.
You’ve felt the hunger. You’ve sensed the disillusionment. You’re not running from God… you’re running from the system.
We are too.
And we believe He’s forming something new:
A people of covenant.
A communion of presence.
A Church that actually looks like Jesus.
